Good Food Safety Tips during family gatherings
If you have ever experienced food poisoning, you already know that you want to avoid that happening again. And one of the heaviest times for food poisoning statistically is when families gather on one specific day of the year - like Thanksgiving (or Memorial Day or the 4th of July pr Labor Day, etc.....). There are high outbreaks because everyone stops to enjoy their families on those days and then they make mistakes with handling their food.....

Seriously though, I think I have found THE BEST RESOURCE I've ever seen for food safety awareness, so I am not going to sugar coat it much more by adding my two cents. I am just going to give you the link. Come back to it any time and search #PokeYourMeat on any social media outlet that you follow as it is eventually going to link you to this blog revealing a great resource put together by the US government.
Have a Safe Holiday Season and please thank a Veteran today!
Until next time, I'll be over here poking my meat.... signing off #JentheFoodScientist
