FSVP Approval Program
The Final Rule on Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) regulation went into effect in 2016, requiring food importers to have an FSVP plan that ensures foreign food suppliers are meeting food safety standards. Today, the lack of a FSVP plan is still one of the most common reasons for a company being issued the FDA form 483a after inspection. Often, companies struggle with developing a plan that meets regulation requirements. FSVP and a good supplier compliance management program can be managed similarly and SFER can help design both into your program with you while reducing risk in your supply chain and ensuring your compliance.
